Sudha is an ophthalmic surgeon with special interest in medical retina. She is a staff specialist and the head of the unit of Ophthalmology at the Modbury Hospital, Modbury.
Sudha underwent specialist training in India and in Adelaide. She has a keen interest in research. Her PhD involved the 10-year incidence of retinal diseases in the Blue Mountain Eye Study. She has been involved in the design of the Prospective Study of Cataract Surgery and Macular Degeneration Study. She has over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals. VIEW PUBLICATIONS.
She has a keen interest in teaching and is involved in teaching the medical students and registrars. She recently visited the Loknayak Jaiprakash Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chouparan), Hazaribag (https://nbjk.org/news/australian-retina-specialist-at-lnjp-eye-hospital-4/)where she was involved in voluntary eye service.
